This adventure combines “hiking” with “initiation to caving.” We enter the heart of the Sierra de Grazalema.
The first adventure of HIKING is considered level 1, although it is short in duration it has some unevenness that will have to be “taken slowly”. The second adventure is an INITIATION to the SPELEOLOGY in a simple cave, but that will test some of our phobias.
The necessary technical equipment will be available for all activities.
Our hiking route begins in the village of “El Bosque”, climbing through the firebreak of the madroñal almost to Benamahoma. We will meet in one of the densest madroñales in the province of Cádiz and we can taste and collect these delicious fruits. We will arrive at the great “plain” viewpoint of the Albarracinejo from where we will have great views of the Sierra del Pinar and Endrinal. We will return through and visit the enigmatic cave. A simple and very fun route!
CAVE OF THE TERRIZA
The Cave of the Terriza located at the foot of the Albarracín is a typical karst cave about 30 to 40 meters long. It contains several rooms where you can appreciate stalagticas and stalagmites in their formation. Technical equipment like a helmet is provided for your visit. We will take people in small groups of 6 to 7 people with a duration of 30 to 40 minutes. It is very exciting as it contains some areas that will test the participants. Overcome your phobias!

Cave, 1 to 2 hours.
Minimum / Maximum of participants:
Recommended Dates: Autumn, winter and spring.
Services: Specialized instructors and equipment.

“La Cueva de la Pileta” is a cave in Benaojan in the province of Malaga, Spain. It is a prehistoric site with Paleolithic parietal art and Neolithic remains, discovered in 1905.
The Ferrata routes allow you to experience aerial sensations typical of other sports such as climbing and mountaineering for people without extensive technical knowledge.
A Via Ferrata consists basically of a succession of bald steps in the rock through which it is climbed in the same way that we would do it by a ladder.
10:00 hours – Presentation and explanation with equipment distribution.
10:30 am - Start climbing the Ferrata Benaojan.
12:30 pm - Finish the climb.
1:00 p.m. - Lunch break.

Day 1: LA JANDA WETLAND
The old lake of La Janda used to be one of the most important and extensive wetlands in the Iberian Peninsula. There are large pastures, an important and unusual wild olive grove, rain fed crops, rice paddy fields and canals with marsh vegetation that together welcome millions of birds through the different seasons. This unparalleled strategic situation, the last stop before leaving the continent, makes La Janda a paradise of great ecological interest: here birds must stop to rest and recover strength before or after their trip across the Strait of Gibraltar.
Day 2: SIERRA DE GRAZALEMA NATURAL PARK
The Grazalema Natural Park is a nearly 52.000 Ha paradise for walkers, birdwatchers and photographers. Here we can find a mountain landscape formed by limestone and dolomites, dominated by fantastic views of both Spanish Fir and Mediterranean forests with their abundant Holm oaks and Cork oaks. The area is renowned for orchids and butterflies, but raptors will distract us from the ground cover. From hilltops like Puerto de las Palomas or Puerto del Boyar, with luck we will spot Bonelli’s and Golden Eagles, Goshawk, Peregrine Falcon and Red-billed Chough. Other species present in this region are Egyptian Vultures, Blue Rock and Rufous Tailed Rock Thrushes, Black Wheatears, Crag Martins, Red-rumped Swallows and Rock Buntings, among others. Grazalema is a wonderful place for nature lovers and we have designed the best guided tour possible to get an extensive bird, orchid and butterfly list, as well we have the possibility to focus on special species.
